Here we go again, again.
This is my second time at Mason, the first one being eons ago as an English major, soccer player and entertainment editor of the Broadside. It took a while, but I finally made my way back, this time as Senior Writer at University Relations. It’s been a long, strange, wonderful trip, and if you have the time, I’d like to tell you all about it to give you an idea of what a launching pad for a viable career Mason can be. Some of it will seem like name-dropping, and it is, but that’s what makes it cool, right?
I’m also going to point out things to you that you may not know about this universe of a university. It’s a city unto itself, and as such there are untold numbers of untold stories, or stories worth retelling, to give you a measure of the richness of the school and the people who populate it.
And if you have anything on your mind, feel free to share it. As a newspaper columnist I often described my job as “giving voice to the voiceless,” which is phony posturing, for sure, but I still feel that way.
Drop a line with a Comment, or feed me an idea for a compelling story involving anything related to Mason and we’ll see what we can do. And check back here now and again for new posts. I’ll try to keep it interesting.
